Astral Artists Sunday Concerts at the Creutzburg Center


Three superb, emerging, classical musicians are featured


in two very special afternoon concerts at the Creutzburg Center, School Night’s Victorian headquarters in Radnor. Enjoy their performances and their insights into the works selected. Meet the artists at wine and cheese receptions following the concerts. Founded in 1992 by Vera Wilson, Astral Artists is a Philadelphia-based, nonprofit classical music organization whose mission is to discover and support promising classical musicians residing in the U.S. Through concerts and outreach programs, emerging artists are assisted in their early professional career development. Astral Artists represent the very best and brightest of today’s classical musicians and provide a glimpse into the future of classical music.


Jason Vieaux, Guitar One of America’s leading young guitarists, Jason Vieaux is changing the face of guitar program- ming and has earned a devoted international fan base along the way. As a result of his reputation for making “the single guitar seem like a body of instruments at work… an orchestra of sound…” (The Philadelphia Inquirer), Vieaux plays over 50 engagements each year across the U.S. and abroad and already has 10 recordings to his credit. Julietta Curenton and Angel Hsiao, Flute Duo Two of today’s brightest new flutists on the international stage perform traditional and contemporary works in an original duo. Julietta Curenton has been featured as guest soloist with the Baltimore Symphony, the Kennedy Center Institute Orchestra and the U.S. Army Band. She was the First Prize winner of the National Flute Association’s Young Artist Competition. Angel Hsiao, a native of Taiwan, received the Premier Prix in 2000 as well as a Diplôme Supérieur in 2003 in Flute Performance, both with distinction.
