Traditions Studio was founded in 2005 by Denna Williamson. Out of her desire to showcase her memories, and exhibit creativity outside of traditional scrapbook pages and albums, Denna developed and brought to market a line of new products for the industry. And, as the tagline of her company states, they Go Beyond Scrapbooking!
Traditions Studio’s items fall into the broad category of photo-memory products, such as Travel Tumblers, Key Chains, Clocks, Mouse Pads, and Desk Organizers, to a wide range of photo Snow Globes.
After introducing her first line, Denna had an overwhelming positive response by the end-users. “They loved creating a paper-crafting project, for example, that showed-off their grandkids that could be inserted into a Travel Tumbler,” Denna
recalls. Projects started leaping off the pages of albums, and found their way into products for the home, office and on-the-go.
The difficult part was having traditional scrapbook stores seize the opportunity to offer something besides albums, paper, and embellishments. Therefore, Denna set herself a mission to put forth, four key points, to help retailers increase their sales by adding these types of products. The message was simple:
1. New Customers– If properly marketed, these types of products will bring in additional customers.
2. Home Décor– Many of
these
products are used as home decor items and also make great gifts. It’s a relevant way to capture part of the 16 billion dollar gift industry.

3. Cross-Merchandising– These products create another outlet for items already carried in a Scrapbook store such as paper, stickers, embellishments, etc.
4. Impulse- These are impulse items that will make your cash register sing!
Over time, retailers realized they were missing out and needed to diversify their product mix. Today, Traditions Studio leads the way with innovative photo-memory products, by continuing to add to their line of drink ware and other popular categories, such as DVD/ CD storage and desktop items.
Their Gift-Card Snow Globe holder has been getting a lot of attention lately.
