vendor bio - everyday expressions by boulder innovations

Boulder Innovations, LLC, was started in the basement of Scott and Jennifer Christensen’s home in 2006. These humble beginnings were the result of many years of working in the home décor and scrapbook industry, for a company that was bought by a larger company. Scott realized that he enjoyed living in a small southern Utah community, and did not want to relocate his family. He also realized that the addition of a manufacturing company to the area would create jobs for the people that live there. With these goals in mind, Boulder Innovations was born. Since then, the business has grown to occupy an 11,000 square foot wood shop, complete with paint spray booth, assembly area, and shipping dock. Small beginnings have grown into a major area business; in 2008 the county awarded Boulder Innovations their Business of the Year award.

In 2007, Everyday Expressions was added to the product line. Everyday Expressions, a popular line of picture frames, magnet boards, calendars, and much more, was the newest member of the family. The line was based off Scott’s previous scrapbooking experience, he wanted to create a home décor line where consumers could use their everyday pictures for their home décor. These hand-made products feature everyday expressions that add to the feeling of your own pictures. With many colors and styles to choose from, consumers are sure to find exactly what they are looking for. The special phrases are one of the things that make Everyday Expressions’ products unique and

beautiful. The most recent addition to the line is a complete line of unpainted product. This is the perfect complement to retailers’ who focus on scrapbooking and paper crafting product lines. It is sure to increase sales for those retailers that include it in their summer line up. Everyday Expression’s also specializes in specialty projects; if you decide to have a special class, and would like a wood based product, they are happy to help you create whatever you need.

Working in the industry, for over ten years, has given Scott the insight and knowledge to read what consumers and retailers are looking for. He sees that there is a need for products that can bring higher sales to retail stores. Retailers have found that unfinished craft projects can be used as another outlet for scrapbookers and paper crafters creativity. He also realizes that retailers need products that don’t compete, but rather add to their core product lines. This line gives consumers the opportunity to take their creativity and existing passion, and create their own home décor.
