| news NEW OFFICE
apital One UK has unveiled its new, state-of-the-at office across two floors in the White Collar Factory in London’s growing tech precinct. To strengthen its presence in London, the new office is a showcase for modern agile working within the fintech industry. HLW’s Managing Director Bronte
C
Turner said, “Capital One’s new offices have been designed with technological innovation and collaboration as its core focus, to enable Capital One’s employees freedom and flexibility in how and where they work.”
Capital One engaged HLW London to
create its new space; appointing them to conduct a full workplace analysis, develop a new and pioneering workplace strategy, design the most cutting-edge and inspiring space to work and deliver it to exceed its employee’s expectations. HLW’s workplace strategy analysis
aimed to understand Capital One’s business goals and enhance the evolution of the company. A workplace strategy was developed centering on creating great experiences for teams and the nature of the work they undertake; helping Capital One to push the boundaries of their working procedures by creating an environment that supports the businesses’ agile working methods.
PRIME WATERSIDE OFFICES
ith Bristol’s office-based employment market growing more quickly than the UK average, the demand for high quality commercial space is outstripping supply. The strong growth especially in the tech and creative industries means a high number of companies want unique and exciting premises that suit their culture and brand. One large, stylish studio-style office is now available overlooking the floating harbour at the prestigious Huller & Cheese development in Bristol City Centre, ideal for organisations that want design-led business space in a central location.
W Huller & Cheese is the conversion of
two former industrial warehouses by developer Generator South West, two of the last original buildings on the floating harbour to be renovated. With the development’s luxurious apartments and penthouses now complete, the two commercial units on the lower ground floor have been launched to the market and interest from potential occupiers is strong.
The area is set to be regenerated further as Redcliffe Village is a walk away offering more homes and retail space.

It has a wide choice of land and premises, excellent transport links to London and Cambridge, easy access to international airports, desirable places to live, lively shopping areas and beautiful parks and green spaces. It is no surprise that some of the UK’s largest companies have chosen to locate here.
Our draft Local Plan aspires to create new jobs by protecting existing employment areas and supporting the construction of new business premises. It also identifies sites for
around 12,000 new homes for sale and rent and seeks to ensure that this development is supported by roads, railways, utilities, shops, schools and healthcare. The council is keen to support all businesses in the borough to thrive and prosper and is working in partnership with key stakeholders to create an environment that is attractive to new businesses, investment and social enterprise opportunities.
