Apollo staff look to the Future

A Tamworth manufacturer is supporting the development of its young employees by signing them up to Future Faces memberships. Apollo, the liquid adhesive, sealant, coating

and primer manufacturer, has acquired memberships for six of its staff. They are account manager Joe Mogg,

warehouse team leader Matthew Molland, marketing communications co-ordinator Ben Whitehouse, plant technologist Lorna Benbow and lab technicians Hasan Haideri and Ellie Jackson. Several of them have already attended Future

Faces events and will continue engaging with the young professionals’ organisation to aid their development. Apollo managing director Ian Cornelius said:

“At Apollo we consider our employees to be our most valued asset and are committed to continual investment in their development. “We have some great young talent in the

business and I’m confident that the individuals we’ve selected to join the Future Faces programme will maximise all it has to offer to develop them both professionally and personally.”

New recruits: The six young Apollo employees who have joined Future Faces Apollo has been based in the area since 1972

and prides itself on helping employees on their career journey Chris Brewerton, head of Lichfield and

Tamworth Chamber, said: “Future Faces is a really positive division of the Chamber group.

Charity fundraising tops £5k “Our president, James Blackman, myself, our

executive committee and key stakeholders, such as the Lichfield and Tamworth councils, are committed to continuing to support and promote opportunities for young professionals in the area.”

New Members Trivia time: A quiz night was among Future Faces’ fundraising activities

Future Faces raised more the £5,000 for its chosen charity Birmingham Women’s Hospital over the past year. A total of £5,707.80 (plus £285 Gift Aid) was

raised for the hospital towards its Woodland House Appeal. The Woodland House Appeal has been

launched to build a new purpose-built centre which will provide a safe haven for bereaved families. Future Faces members raised funds through a

number of initiatives throughout the year, including a ring raffle at the annual dinner and awards and a quiz night. The organisation has also supported the

hospital by decorating wards at Christmas and collecting items for patient care packages. Saranne Moreno, corporate strategic

partnerships manager at Birmingham Women’s Hospital Charity, said: “We were thrilled when Future Faces chose us as its charity of the year and ever since we’ve been absolutely blown away by the commitment and passion the members have put into their fundraising. “The incredible amount they’ve raised for our

Woodland House Appeal brings us a huge step closer to making Woodland House a reality to provide a safe sanctuary for our bereaved families, helping us to break the silence surrounding pregnancy and baby loss.”
