WHAT ARE THE MAIN BENEFITS OF INSTALLING AN EXHAUST PURIFICATION SYSTEM?

There are several options of anti-foul paints that combine copper with biocides. Copper is a popular anti- fouling material, being both safe and effective. Nevertheless, there are disadvantages to conventional anti-fouling paint in general, as they are usually only effective for a year or two and the regular haul-outs and reapplications required means it becomes expensive. The alternative is Coppercoat-Superyacht. This consists of a high concentration of pure copper powder mixed into a VOC-free, water-based epoxy resin. Coppercoat- Superyacht is applied by spray in thin layers, building to form a solid coat of natural copper. Applied correctly it can decrease drag, increasing speed and fuel efficiency. With a single treatment commonly lasting for 10 seasons or more, it is highly cost-effective. The ultra-hard matrix also allows for repeated scrubbing with virtually no loss of thickness.

The biggest problem you usually face when retrofitting any electronic device is compatibility. The good news is that if you stick to speaker installation, the existing cables can often be re-used and as long as the speakers and amplifiers have matching impedance, there should be no compatibility issues. Adding an amplifier to an existing system is the most effective way of improving the audio performance onboard. Not only does it give you more volume potential, but in most cases the external amplifiers have superior sound reproduction values as well. In a nutshell this means crisper tones across the whole volume range - however loud you want to go. The even better news is that audio entertainment systems are coming along leaps and bounds when it comes to combining connectivity and sound quality. Our new Apollo series, is a real game changer for premium audio entertainment in the marine industry.

Larger yachts have traditionally been fitted with two or more over- sized independent

generators to provide the capacity to cover peak power demands, but they mostly operate at 50% or less of their overall output capability. A more efficient and environmentally- friendly way to meet the fluctuating use of the generator system is to connect multiple generators in parallel, with each genset capable of independent operation, ready to work seamlessly together and automatically load share on demand. The Fischer PandaiSeries with variable speed technology adjust to changing power requirements, they are supplied with PMGi inverters as standard and can be ordered for easy connection in parallel, even if they have different outputs. This results in a much quieter, lighter and fuel-efficient system, with a second generator in reserve to cover peak power demands or for use independently at night.

Most invest time and

money, either on pleasure or financial ROI. Investing in an Exhaust Purification System combines both. You will enjoy the stay on the yacht more, and the yacht’s residual value will improve. Just like any other industry, you upgrade or buy new, but buying new has a worse ROI, than upgrading. Exhilator systems are very easy to install, we removed all the complexity, and made it a ‘plug and play system’, unlike some others that maybe more complicated. Maintenance is also simple, by using low sulphur fuel, you only need to clean the filters for ashes (from the burned soot) every 5000 hours, and most can do the cleaning on their own, either by using the supplied cleaning kit, using on-board equipment,or when servicing the yacht. The built in ExiBox includes sensors and real-time monitoring with alerts and alarms, so crew will be notified, when to clean.
