Avant powers into production
Avant’s E6 electric machine is now in full production, with the first deliveries having been made to Versatile Equipment, part of the manufacturer’s Avant Hire network offering a range of machines and attachments. The versatile compact loader is powered by Lithium-ion batteries. It comes with an on-board
charging unit, enabling connection to any 230V/10A power source. Optional rapid charging stations are also available. Avant says that, in light use, a lithium battery’s performance is approximately 30% better
than lead-acid batteries, while under heavy use the operating time is up to three times longer. The lithium battery can be fully charged in one hour using a rapid charging station, enabling the operator to charge the machine from 0%-100% during a lunch break. Hyundai for confined spaces
Hyundai says that the compact design of its R17Z-9A mini excavator allows the operator to work in confined areas, such as close to buildings on roadways and in urban areas, assisted by its variable width undercarriage. Power for the 1.7-tonne machine
comes from a Kubota D902 engine rated at 11.7kW (15.7hp). When fitted with a 960mm-long dipper arm, the R17Z-9A provides a maximum dig depth of 2190mm,
with zero tail swing capability, and it has two travel speeds of 2.2 km/h and 4.1km/h.

Tracked dumper trio from C&F
C&F Dumpers UK Ltd, based in Bredbury, has been formed as the importer of tracked compact dumpers made by the Italian manufacturer, C&F Srl. The company has identified three models from the comprehensive range
which it believes are particularly suitable for the tool and equipment hire market. Each is controlled by a servo-hydraulic mono joystick for precise movement, operator comfort and lower fuel consumption. The T60, T85 and T120/models all have high-tipping
capability and offer maximum payload capacities of 600kg, 800kg and 1,500kg respectively. The T60 is 680mm wide, while the other machines are 780mm in width. A variety of skip configurations are available.
