own business. Circle Waste has just launched, and doesn’t simply help waste producers fi nd a home for their waste, it tries to prevent it ever happening. Launched by Chris Dear, Mark Garwood and Jules Gaylor – with Chris and Mark (left) selling their Network Waste business for £23m in 2015 – Circle Waste prefers the human touch to the impersonal option of an icon on an app. “We learned very quickly in business that customer service is vital,” says Mark. Circle Waste’s off ering includes training sessions and specialist advice from Chris and Mark on how to reduce the waste they are accepting or generating. “A lot of companies still have individual site managers looking after what they do, rather than adopting a joined-up thinking approach.
