e might have lost his shirt, but this month’s Skip Hunk loves to get his motor running behind the wheel of his company car. Meet Emmerdale’s number one fan, Jonathon Blesky.
Nice to see you made an effort dressing up for the occasion. What age are you, and where do you work?
I’m 44 and I work as an environmental yard inspector for
A-Skip4U.com in Kent. I’ve only been there for a few weeks.
Apart from the relaxed dress code, what’s the best bit of the job?
Seeing the improvements I have actioned in a short space of time. Even the rats have moved out.
They know not to mess with a man who teams his hi-vis shorts with white sports socks. Apart from clothing, what part of the job can you live without?
The dust, dirt, rain and mud. But on a plus, my boss purchased a company vehicle for me.
So we see! Not exactly a Ferarri 488 GTB, but get some fog lights, a furry dice, and some alloys and you’re smokin’. Just a gut feeling - but we’re guessing there’s a few strange goings on at work. Any you’d like to share?
Strangest? My chocolate bars disappeared a couple of times. And our new cleaner is funny - he’s called Shirts or Bullet because he works so fast.
Ah, about the chocolate. Well, it was just lying there, and we were a bit peckish. Anyway, sorry about that. Moving on… What are you up to after work?
Showering as soon as I get home. Cook dinner, a few wines, and watch Emmerdale.
Not exactly Keith Moon lifestyle there, mate. But we suppose someone has to watch Emmerdale. What job did you really want to do?
I did try being a model with an ex-girlfriend - as you can see. But it was modelling dog food and I couldn’t get my teeth into it, if you pardon the pun.
We honestly have no idea what you were actually doing with the dog food and, come to think, we’d rather not know. Talking about four legged friends, what kind of animal would you be?
A donkey, you do the maths.

What do you get if you could clone a person with weird features like bad breath and yellow teeth? My boss! (Bit of in-house banter, not serious apart from the breath, and he is a seriously nice guy and a good boss).
