OUR intrepid reporter Samuel McKeown’s dedication to the job caused a real storm this month.

Glossop’s fi nest Derby County fan (the only one?) lugged a copy of Skip Hire & Waste Magazine in his rucksack around several Moroccan cities during his hols last month.

He said: “I took the mag to Casablanca, the ruins of Volubilis, Meknes, Fes,and a few stops in between. I fi nally arrived at Merzouga – the western tip of the Sahara Desert.

“Once I found a suitable spot for the September edition, I planted it fi rmly atop a sand dune and took a snap.

“I even left the edition sitting on the front desk of a Sahara Desert hotel for visitors to enjoy.”

Can you take a photo of the magazine in a more unusual place than Samuel? If you do, we’ve got a prize for you. Email your snaps to: editor@skiphiremagazine.co.uk

Our September 2017 Edition

ON page 18 of Skip Hire & Waste Magazine’s September edition, we published a story about Adam Strange of North East Skip Manufacturers Ltd. We wrote he employed 50 staff and repaired 11 skips in a week. This is inaccurate, and we apologise for any confusion. Adam has fi ve staff and is planning to employ 50 staff in the next two years. Adam and his team build and repair six to twelve skips each week.
