These creatures are uber affectionate, intelligent and confident whilst possessing a great sense of loyalty and trust. It's like having a soulmate; someone to talk to and someone to share your feelings with who will become part of your daily routine, they become an integral part of the


family. It may sound unbelievable to someone who has never owned one of these very special cats, but they can convert a dog-lover, they will put those velvety paws around your heart and confound you. Their adoration and understanding of their owner is unique and really quite magical.

There's no real grooming to be done on a Burmese, just an occasional face and ear clean as it has a coat made for stroking and that's enough to ensure the coat is kept shiny and silky. They thrive on routine and will enjoy nothing more than having their breakfast at the same time as you and that goes for dinner time too, it's rather like having a personal reminder at meal times.

As with all cats they love a nap, and will gladly enjoy the company of having someone to curl up with for a siesta! However they love to meet and greet visitors and friends, it's not for a Burmese to miss out on something and leave the room because family have arrived. If you filled a room with Burmese owners they would all have amazing tales of funny traits, intelligence and heart-breaking devotion.

Given freedom they'll provide you with a source of constant amusement with their "magpie" like way of bringing home various items of booty. However a Burmese who has never had access to the outdoors will be equally happy (if not safer) and find plenty of stimulation within your four walls.
