closely with manufacturers and operators. Both often prefer to source as many products as possible from one supplier and we offer that. We are here to make a difference!” Over at Electrocoin, John Stergides, managing director, took time off from tearing it up on the newly-launched Dance Dance Revolution A to tell us: “The show was well- organised and it was well attended by domestic trade. There appeared to be some usual overseas faces in attendance, however, there were also some missing. We had a very positive reaction to our launches, in particular the DDRA from Konami and the new Monte Carlo Digital Cat C Elektra and Gemstar Cabinets. We also had the European launch of the new pinball by Stern – Guardians of the Galaxy which was constantly being played. Overall we had a very positive show, with the number of orders placed at the show exceeding the previous two years.” As well as arcade and amusement products, there were

more traditional games on offer. Home Leisure Direct sells pool tables and other bar-room products and has also big ideas for the game of shuffleboard. Andy Beresford, managing director, explains: “It was super busy on our stand. Shuffleboard was the most popular product. We find many people haven’t heard of Shuffleboard let alone played it. But word is travelling fast as the game starts to spread across the country. The ROI is fantastic. We’ve taken orders for

shuffleboards and Joy Chinese 8 ball tables. We’ve got a lot of enquiries to follow up on across all categories.” Lastly, but not leastly, at JNC Sales, sales executive Sam Coleman was pleased with the reaction to the firm’s big new releases and, crucially, with the orders received for them. “The Monster Smash two and four player puzzle-themed redemption machines were one of our best sellers, and perhaps one of the most-played games we’ve seen on our stand over the years! The competitive nature of other new machines such as Jungle Bowling and Fire Hero were also reflected in their popularity and orders taken over the three days. It’s a great way to kick off the year and network with suppliers and customers – and help people learn more about machines first-hand by playing them on the stand!” All in all, there was very little negative feedback from this

year’s EAG show and it clearly continues to occupy not just a good deal of traditional market support as a UK B2B show, but more importantly seems to deliver the right numbers and the right exposure for its growing exhibitor base.
