Ride Profile www.parkworld-online.com

complete from drawing and workshop through to installation. This included constructing a complete steel building as well as the transportation system. The value for operators, according to Lisa, is its universal appeal. “The Haunted Mansion is an evergreen ride and family ride. All the visitors in the park will visit it.” Dark rides are growing in popularity, and Lisa has seen a corresponding response. “The dark ride, along with the fun house and the dodgems, are the most famous Gosetto products at the moment.” We are building our third dark ride at the moment,” added Lisa. The customer is Leon Snep, owner of Dutch company Swiss AEX, and the ride’s final destination is Hong Kong. “It has the same technical description as the Mystery Mansion, but we are finishing the design phase at the moment.” Offering a further option for variation, The Horror Hotel

(pictured) which was sold to Parque Atomico in Colombia, is an updated version of Gosetto’s fun house, and is a mix between a dark ride and a fun house. A walking ride, visitors enter the Hotel and wander through various rooms including living room, reception and bedroom, which feature tricks and scary animatronics designed to make them jump. Set up is contained in one standard semi-trailer, and the high 3D facade on the front is designed to attract visitors’ attention. Dracula’s Castle, meanwhile, is a two-storey, trailer- mounted dark ride, aimed at operators who want a ghost

train that is simultaneously full of special effects whilst still being practical and fast to set up and break down. Based across two levels, the dark ride has an uphill and a downhill section using with magnetic brakes. As we continue into 2018, business is showing no sign of

slowing down. Gosetto has three dark rides, two trailer- mounted fun houses, four Party Dances (a carousel-style ride with independently moving cars), as well as other kiddie and family rides already planned or in production. Showcased to acclaim at the IAAPA Attractions Expo in November last year was the vehicle design for an interactive dark ride project, developed in collaboration with Triotech and destined for Hainan Ocean paradise in China. Set for delivery in July 2018, Park World predicts this will to be one to watch…

Gosetto

Founded in 1977 by two brothers, Gosetto is still family owned and run. It started out in the construction of fairground attractions, based in the hills to the north of the River Piave, in the heart of the Treviso province of Italy, and has grown to become an internationally renowned manufacturer of fairground rides and attractions.
