Adventure Island Adds Drop Slide


Guests are in for the slide of their lives when Adventure Island Tampa Bay’s new epic drop slide by ProSlide, Vanish Point, opens in spring 2018. Inspired by the point on a wave where water and gravity form a perfect partnership, the crest of this 70 foot (21 m) tower challenges guests with two 425 foot (130 m) wave paths. They step into one of two skyboxes, and face their fears as the floor disappears beneath them. Or, get horizontal on a 455 foot (139 m) long slide ending with a high speed finale.

themselves in the universe of the park’s mascot Little Prince through a new virtual reality experience, and can go on a unique journey in space accompanied by the French astronaut, Thomas Pesquet. ‘Virtual Flight with the Little Prince and Fox’ sees


visitors equipped with a VR headset and seated onboard a hot air balloon basket, where they are immersed in a 360 ° film. Passengers can see an aerial view of the entire park and its spectacular surroundings, or for an additional 2 euros, visitors can accompany the hero on a VR journey created by Red Accent Studio that takes them from planet to planet.

aerospace engineer, pilot, and astronaut Thomas Pesquet and his mission aboard the International Space Station, broadcast exclusively at the Grand Cinema of the Parc du Petit Prince at its reopening.
