The South American country is news these days. On the one hand, a new park was inaugurated in the state of Sao Paulo, with a focus on Jurassic times and, on the other, the controversy that has arisen regarding the possible sale of the emblematic Beto Carrero World Park, located in the state of Santa Catarina, south of Brazil. Astrid González Nariño reports.


Jurassic Experience The new theme park, called Valley of Dinosaurs, is located in the city of Olympia. In that same municipality there are also the famous Thermas dos Laranjais, which ranks fourth in the Top 20 of the world's water parks, with more than 1,900,000 visitors per year, and Hot Beach, tenth in the ranking of the same category in Latin America, according to the most recent report by Themed Entertainment Association (TEA). Valley of Dinosaurs has an


area of 10,000 square meters, and its main attraction is the 38- animatronic dinosaurs that visitors can observe along the


route, in the middle of lush natural and artificial vegetation, designed as a scenic setting. The most prominent is the famous Tyrannosaurus Rex,


considered one of the most respected and feared animals that populated the Earth millions of years ago. However, the Brachiosaurus, the largest dinosaur in the park, with a height of 15 meters has also caused a sensation. The replicas were imported from the United States and


China and all of them can move, emit sounds and even “ breathe” , creating a very realistic experience. In addition to the dinosaurs, the park structure includes cinema, game room, playground (Dino Play), shop, excavation area, Dino Band, light sources, and a feeding area. One of the favorite places
