Aspire Global appoints new managing director


spire Global has appointed Jonathan Chilton as managing director to further cement its status as a leading white label platform and services provider. With over 19 years of extensive experience in the iGaming industry, Chilton served as chief operating officer and executive director at GM Gaming Limited, a Betway company under the Super Group umbrella. He spearheaded the expansion of the Betway brand into several regulated European markets and served as a director on seven licensed entities. Previously in his career he spent 12 years at Osiris Trading in South Africa

across a number of roles, playing a pivotal role in introducing Betway into African markets.

Sam Hill joins Altenar as sales director


Hill boasts almost 15 years’ experience within the industry, with this latest hire encompassing Altenar’s ambition to further extend its outreach globally. Starting in the betting industry in 2010, Hill has elevated his career to become business development director at Betgenius, head of B2B sales at BetVictor and most recently, senior sales director at IMG.He will now be heading up the Altenar sales team. After previously working with the sportsbook as a client, Hill will be tasked with promoting and expanding Altenar’s sales strategy, tailored specifically to different jurisdictions and delivering an increase in revenue and company growth. He will also work closely with the company’s commercial team.

streaming and have always liked what the company has been doing,” he said. “I have seen their growth first-hand and I am very pleased to be a part of the team moving forward. Relax Gaming promotes Martin Stålros to CEO


R


elax Gaming has appointed Martin Stålros as CEO following a decade at the company, as well as a period working with Relax as a supplier.


Stålros is replacing Simon Hammon, who held the position of CEO at Relax Gaming since 2022, following three years as CPO. Hammon will stay with Relax Gaming until October 2024 in support of the handover process and continued positive trajectory. Over 15 years of industry experience has seen Stålros’ positive contribution span from business development to operational leadership, driving growth and value throughout. He said: “Having the


opportunity to step up as CEO after seeing the company grow from 30 to 350 people during my time as COO is tremendously exciting. I’m humbled by the task and it’s the strength of the team that surrounds me which makes me even more motivated about the challenge. “My predecessors have built a stable ship and a close working relationship with both Patrik Österåker, the Founder, and Simon Hammon, the previous CEO, has given me great insight. My aim is to combine their strengths with my own to drive Relax Gaming into further growth as we continue to expand to new markets and embrace opportunities, while always maintaining outstanding tech, exceptional service, strong relationships, and our core values.”


Sportingtech hires new chief people officer


S


portingtech has hired Claire Bailiss as chief people officer to increase employee engagement, promote a positive working culture and lead talent development.


Bailiss joins Sportingtech from American iGaming platform GAN, where she worked for more than seven years, most recently as director of HR. She has previously worked at Ask.com as HR business partner, and Turner Broadcasting System and EMI Group as HR manager.


At Sportingtech, she will develop and implement the company’s human resources strategy and policies, lead a wider HR and talent acquisition team and foster a productive work environment that promotes diversity, equity and inclusion. Bailiss will also implement programmes to attract and retain top talent and manage professional development, compensation and benefits.
