Y como se puede ver líneas abajo, Perú ya inicio su proceso de autorización de empresas para poner en marcha la actividad del juego remoto para casinos online y apuestas deportivas. Mientras tanto, los eventos de Sagse Latam en Buenos Aires registraron increíbles conferencias, así como GAT Expo Cartagena de Colombia, con una gran respuesta a su espléndida agenda de conferencias, donde el Presidente de Coljuegos, Marco Emilio Hincapié, sugirió la creación de una comisión latinoamericana de reguladores para unificar criterios normativos así como una iniciativa para llevar a cabo de manera periódica, una cumbre de asociaciones latinoamericanas con el objetivo de aportar la visión de los operadores en cada uno de los países latinoamericanos sobre el estado del rubro cada nación.
Y como si eso fuera poco, el tiempo nos falta y tenemos que enviar la nota a imprenta casi saliendo para Sao Paulo, donde el BiS Sigma Americas del 24-26 de abril tiene viso de algo inmenso. Y ahí nomas se nos vienen en mayo, la Cumbre Iberoamericana del Juego (May 14-15), Puerto Rico; Gambling Brasil 24, (22-24 May), São Paulo; y el CGS LATAM, (28-29 May), en Santiago, Chile. ¡Alla nos vemos!

Indeed, a Latin American associations summit would aim to provide operators in each of the Latin American countries updates on the state of the sector in each nation.
Activity galore in the region, and as we are running out of time and have to send content to pre-press, we are almost leaving for São Paulo, where the BiS Sigma Americas on April 24-26 looks like something immense. And then we have the during the month of May, the Ibero-American Gaming Summit (May 14-15) in Puerto Rico; Gambling Brasil 24, (22-24 May) in São Paulo; and CGS LATAM, (28-29 May) in Santiago, Chile. Emiten resolución para operar casinos y apuestas deportivas online
Con fecha 26 de marzo, el Ministerio de Hacienda de Republica Dominicana ha emitido la Resolución 136-2024 que regulan los juegos de azar, apuestas deportivas y otros – esports, se asume - por Internet, bajo la supervisión de la Dirección de Casinos y Juegos de Azar. La Resolución que autoriza las operaciones de casinos online y apuestas contiene 36 páginas con siete capítulos y treinta y seis artículos ha sido firmado por el ministro José Manuel Vicente, disponiendo la vigencia de cada licencia por cinco años e intransferibles durante los primeros tres.
Asimismo, en el Artículo 7 Requisitos económicos, se establecen las tarifas administrativas por concepto de la emisión de licencias para el nuevo sector de juego y apuestas online en RRDD, con cifras en moneda local que al cambio USD de hoy producen los
siguientes montos: Licencia de casino online:
US$345.817,36; Licencia de
Apuestas deportivas: US$345.817,36.
Licencia de otras aplicaciones online: US$ 172.908,67. La Resolución también cubre todas las partes pertinentes al proceso de autorización para la obtención de la licencia, además de aspectos operativos y de seguridad de las plataformas tecnológicas de juego y apuestas, cumpliendo en su Artículo 27 con la obligación por parte del operador para hacer cumplir un programa de juego responsable, que incluye un proceso de autoexclusión.

Government approves online casinos and sports betting operations
On March 26 the Ministry of Finance of the Dominican Republic issued Resolution 136-2024 that regulates online gambling, sports betting and others – esports, it is assumed – via Internet, under the supervision of the local industry regulators, Casinos and Gaming Commission. The casinos and online betting regulating process in DR has followed a diligent set of studies that culminated on February 28, 2024, with the recommendation to the Minister of Finance by the industry regulator, under official letter DM-051-2024 signed by its president, for the issuance of the respective resolution to launch the new regulated sector in the country. The Resolution that authorizes the operations of online casinos and betting contains 36 pages with seven chapters and thirty-six articles has been signed by Minister José Manuel Vicente, providing the term of validity for each license of five years, with a non-transferable provision during the first three years.
It states in Article 7, related to Economic Requirements, the administrative fees for the issuance of licences for the new online gaming and betting sector in DR are set out in local currency, which at today’s USD exchange rate show amounts as follows:
Online Casino License: $345,817.36; Sports Betting License: $345,817.36; License for other online betting applications: US$ 172,908.67 The Resolution also covers all parts relevant to the licensing authorization process, as well as operational and security aspects of gaming and betting technology platforms; whilst Article 27 deals with the obligation on the part of the operator to enforce a responsible gaming program, which includes a self-exclusion process.
