We’re so sad to see you leave! Give us an insight into your experience working on GIO. I never saw myself working in the online gaming industry but I’ve loved every single minute of it. The industry was so welcoming when I joined the magazine over two years ago and since then I’ve met some of the loveliest people. The Casino International team have also been a pleasure to work with. I’ve attended exhibitions and awards with Matt, Paul and Ben, and I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better team to work with.

Tell us one of your key highlights.

I would say my biggest highlight was my first time at ICE! I had attended exhibitions in other industries but I had never seen anything come close to ICE. The lights, the DJ’s, the abundance of cocktails given to us at every stand – it was all very overwhelming but I loved it. I’m disappointed I won’t be witnessing the new era of ICE in Barcelona but I’m glad I got to witness the final farewell on home soil in London.

What are your thoughts on the industry?

I’m very grateful that I was able to be a part of such an innovative, forward-thinking industry. The online gaming sector truly is miles ahead of most and it only takes talking to a few industry members to recognise this.

So, what’s your next move?

I will now be joining the cosmetics industry. It’s a huge change but definitely an industry I’ve always been passionate about. I can only hope they are as welcoming as the online gaming sector have been! Although I will no longer be working on the magazine, I’m looking forward to seeing it thrive. The team have got some exciting plans for GIO so definitely keep your eyes peeled!

Anjali
