Repunte del Gaming con casi 100% de crecimiento en apuestas deportivas
Las apuestas deportivas continúan ganando terreno en Puerto Rico, con un aumento de casi el 100% en el dinero apostado en el último año fiscal, un crecimiento que también se refleja en los recaudos al fisco.
Según la Comisión de Juegos de Puerto Rico, durante el año fiscal 2024-2025 —hasta mayo— se habían registrado US$313,159,122 millones en apuestas deportivas, lo cual representa un aumento de US$156,350,101 millones en comparación con el año fiscal 2023-2024, cuando se reportaron US$156,809,021 millones en el país caribeño, un aumento del 99.7%.

Sports betting continues to gain ground in Puerto Rico, with an increase of almost 100% in the money wagered in the last fiscal year, a growth that is also reflected in tax collections. According to the Puerto Rico Gaming Commission, during the 2024-2025 fiscal year – as of May – US$313.16 billion had been registered in sports betting, which represents an increase of US$156.35 billion compared to the 2023-2024 fiscal year, when US$156.8 billion was reported in the Caribbean country, an increase of 99.7%.
