he latest edition of Antalis’ ESG report sheds light on the progress made by the


group to achieve its ESG goals during 2023.


Antalis has implemented strategic actions and made improvements to demonstrate its commitment to integrating sustainable practices throughout its operations worldwide. Its efforts refl ect its ongoing ambition to make a positive contribution to environmental management, social responsibility and sound governance. The following has been achieved:


• Environment: improving warehouse energy effi ciency, offering sustainable alternatives, ensuring the sustainability of wood fi bre products, tackling greenhouse gas emissions and implementing solutions to reduce carbon footprint.


• Social: striving to achieve a ‘zero’ workplace accident rate, improving employee skills, sharing initiatives and promoting best practices within the Antalis Group, donations, sponsorships and charitable activities. • Governance: ensuring group transparency and alignment, risk assessments to guarantee sustainable sourcing from suppliers, and compliance with the highest international standards (ethics, labour, human rights, environment). With 4,200 employees and 105 logistics centres in 32 countries, Antalis is committed to meeting the challenges of climate change and decarbonisation and its progress has been recognised by a recent gold medal awarded by EcoVadis. imon Talbot, director at Kazoo, is embarking on a personal challenge by taking part in the Marathon Des Sables in Fuerteventura. The 70km run/ hike takes place in the rugged and steep landscape of the Spanish island over four days. Mr Talbot will be required to carry his own supplies weighing 8kg, including food, water and bedding, in 30°C heat. He said: “This is a challenge to take me way out of my comfort zone, but knowing that everyone has my back will keep me motoring on.


“Running is my escape. It helps me think and takes me away from pressures of life for a few hours while creating great leadership skills in my thoughts.” Over the years, Mr Talbot has used his running to engage with others, encouraging them to join him and aiding many with their mental health. He has raised over £20,000 for charities such as Cancer Research and Alzheimer’s. Mr Talbot will be taking on the Marathon Des Sables in Fuerteventura from Monday, September 30 to Thursday, October 3.
