PM Raflatac has acquired Grafityp to further
accelerate its growth in the graphics solutions market. Merging UPM Raflatac’s existing graphics business with Grafityp will strengthen the Finnish company’s overall competitive positioning in this attractive product segment, expand its portfolio and give access to high-value new technologies.

Today it is known for its strong brands and product portfolio consisting of colour films, print films for large format colour printing, laminates and wrapping films for various end-uses. Antalis walks for Paris Olympics A
head of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Antalis employees around the globe walked a
combined total of 176,852km as part of a challenge to raise money for charity. Between May 21, and June 14, 1,331 employees from across 10 countries took part in the challenge, organised by Antalis HQ, to walk as many steps as possible. The aim was to strengthen team spirit and raise funds for good causes.
The aim of the walking challenge was to improve physical and mental health, strengthen team spirit and raise funds for good causes.
The region to walk the most steps was Central and South-Eastern Europe (CSEE), whose 247 participants walked more than 49 million steps, equating to almost 37,500km.
The team of 188 participants representing the UK and Ireland took a respectable fifth place in the league table, walking more than 33 million steps (25,300km).

UPM Graphics is a new strategic self-adhesive business unit within UPM Raflatac. The business was established after acquiring AMC AG and its graphics business in 2022. UPM Raflatac’s strategy is to grow its graphics business through organic and possibly inorganic measures to give it a significant weight in the company’s product portfolio. Typical graphics applications can be found in indoor and outdoor advertising, signage and vehicle wrapping.

€5000 for RO Paralympics Team charity. Locally, Prostate Cancer UK was the chosen charity for the United Kingdom, with £846 raised, and Irish Antalis colleagues chose Alzheimers, for which they raised €500.
Tim Longley, HR director UK and Ireland, said: “With the Olympic Games in Paris this summer, it seemed an ideal time for colleagues across Antalis to get walking, get healthy and raise money for good causes. It also provided a bit of fun and healthy competition with our colleagues around the globe.”

With the first episode having aired on August 2, the Jam in the Print Room podcast has already earned itself several hundred followers on LinkedIn. Hosted by co-hosts Jack Gocher, editor, PR and founder of Eye on Display, Andy McGuinness, managing director of SEDO – Large Format Solutions, and Matt Hanley, managing director of MTWO, the three spoke on a multitude of topics.
To kick things off, in the first episode, Mr Gocher, Mr McGuinness and Mr Hanley spoke on experiences of being ghosted in the industry and weird and unusual superstitions, ranging from preparations before meeting a client, to not liking odd numbers of odd grids on the pavement.
