GMD installs new swissQPrint Nyala thanks to innovative finance plan
T
he collaboration between swissQprint and Compass Business Finance has helped GMD Print & Install purchase a new Nyala 4 with a tailored payment plan. The initiative refl ects swissQprint’s commitment to making high-quality printing technology accessible to companies of all sizes.
When searching for a new printer at the start of 2023 to meet the growing demand for its services, the business was originally looking at a second-hand machine.
However, after a visit to swissQprint UK’s Bracknell headquarters, GMD decided to invest in a new swissQprint Nyala 4, fi nanced through a bespoke package from Compass.
GMD’s founder, Justas Gadliauskas, said: “Quality has always been paramount for us. Utilising a fi nance model with Compass allowed us to invest in the best equipment without straining our cash fl ow. The Nyala 4 has transformed our business, enabling us to take on bigger contracts with top-tier clients in the retail sector.”
The six-colour machine, equipped with white and varnish, as well as the roll-to-roll option, gives GMD the ability to match its demands.

Erskine Stewart, managing director of swissQprint UK, said: “Our goal is to support our customers in every possible way. The success of GMD is a perfect example of what can be achieved with the right technology and fi nancial support.”
epresenting the latest investment in the company’s in-house UK digital print department, Encore EMEA has purchased a Mimaki JFX200- 2513 EX UV LED fl atbed printer. Encore EMEA’s UK print department services about 50 venues across the UK. If an entire event is being dispatched from the UK, the department produces all the required printed graphics. Martin Alfonso, print operations manager, said: “This is a very reliable printer that offers excellent value. The biggest advantage is that it saves us both time and materials. The events industry is very last-minute, and now we can print directly to board rather than printing vinyl, laminating, and then mounting. We have increased our capacity and sped up the entire production process, so if someone needs something urgently, we can accommodate those requests.” The fl atbed joins existing Mimaki equipment, including the 3.2m wide UJV55-320 UV LED dedicated roll-to-roll printer and the UCJV330-160 UV LED printer/ cutter. The fl atbed printer was purchased from CMYUK, of which Mr Alfonso has a longstanding relationship with Chris Martin, sales manager.
The Mimaki JFX200-2513 EX is one of the industry’s best-selling UV LED curing fl atbed printers. Featuring an 8x4ft bed, it combines supreme quality with high productivity. Notable features include embossed printing that creates a raised textured surface by laying down multiple layers of ink. It ensures consistent quality through its automatic detection and self-recovery of missing print nozzles.
