The award winners

said: “The Rising Star Awards act as a bellwether for the industry, with the courses applied for often indicating print’s direction of travel, with ambitious, committed emerging talent looking to develop the skillsets they know will help them grow in their careers. “This year we are delighted to fund a huge range of courses, including training to understand AI, environmental management, public speaking, negotiation, women in leadership, investigative journalism, maths and personality profi le training.

“These courses may be diverse, but they clearly indicate what our winners have in common: the drive to build their skills and capabilities to equip themselves well for the industry and the workplace of the future. The future is clearly bright.”

Multipanel UK recycling adds to Moss’s sustainability innovation M

oss has launched a closed loop scheme for UK customers choosing its Aluminium

Composite Panels (ACP), adding to its array of environmentally friendly materials and services.

The newly launched take-back service collects clients’ panels for recycling at their end of life. These are returned to Moss’s UK headquarters in St. Neots to join any waste collected during the production process.

Once collated, all waste is trimmed using a guillotine cutter and separated into aluminium and low-density polyethylene streams.

The aluminium is baled, crushed, and shipped to a UK aluminium smelter,

contributing to the UK’s supply chain. Meanwhile, the LDPE core is ground into small pellets, which are returned to Multipanel UK and formed into a new core. The entire process currently achieves an 80% closed loop recycling rate and, in a bid, to achieve 100%, Moss is actively exploring partnerships with further aluminium companies.

Mark Rose operations director at Moss said: “We are excited to be part of this recycling initiative, offering products with robust green credentials. Multipanel UK’s ACP sits alongside the rest of our diverse range of eco-friendly materials, giving our customers more choice than ever when it comes to selecting sustainable products and services.”

Gary Weeks from Multipanel UK added: “We are thrilled to support the Moss’ journey towards achieving a 100% recycling rate. Our focus on a closed loop recycling process is one example of how we are responding to demands for greener graphics throughout the print industry, and we’re delighted to be part of the solution.”
