Team Atlantis take on 153-mile Coast-to-Coast challenge to raise funds for children’s hospital

ix cyclists have completed the Coast-to-Coast cycle ride to raise funds for the Birmingham Children’s Hospital. The cyclists from Team Atlantis tackled the 153-mile route on Saturday, July 20. The route spans from the Irish Sea to the North Sea, traversing from Cumbria to Tyneside. Along the way, the team navigated through the northern Lake District, ascended the Pennines, and descended along the railway paths of County Durham.


Team Atlantis was formed 10 years ago


by Carlo Matarazzo of Signs Now UK, when he embarked on a mission to raise funds for the Birmingham Children’s Hospital. The inaugural challenge saw 20


people take on the Three Peaks Challenge within 24 hours.


To date Team Atlantis’ fundraising efforts have raised £24,188.69 for the hospital. Mr Matarazzo said: “Through these events, not only have we raised significant funds, but we’ve also heightened awareness for BCH. Our efforts have inspired many others to join the cause and contribute in their own ways. A tour of the hospital solidified my commitment, as I witnessed firsthand the incredible work and future plans aimed at supporting and healing young children.


“As we celebrate this milestone, I am filled with gratitude and a renewed determination to continue supporting the Birmingham Children’s Hospital. The


New director appointed at the Dragon Group R


owan Freeman has been appointed a director of the Dragon Group, based in Cardiff and Radstock, near Bath. The company – which has clients across the UK and beyond – includes Dragon Signs, Dragon Digital, Route Media, Sportin Wales and Colour Studios, the exhibition and display arm of the group that Ms Freeman will head-up as part of her wider remit.


Hailing from Cardiff, Ms Freeman has spent almost a decade in creative, administrative and management roles and was thrilled to take the next step in becoming a key part of the group’s executive team.


Her focus will be on sustainability, organic


growth and fostering new partnerships in multiple sectors nationwide.


She said: “I will be working across the group with a specific responsibility for Colour Studios, that’s going to be a big part of my role going forward.


“It’s an exciting time as we are targeting different markets, with an emphasis on the exhibition space and expanding our services and supply of bespoke, recyclable product displays while exploring the firm’s year-round offering.”


“I am thrilled to now be in this position, it is far more than a job and allows me to be creative and work alongside some hugely talented people whose skills cross over and complement each other across the group.”

ave Newbery has joined Soyang Europe in the role of technical sales manager.


He will focus on Soyang’s extensive range of self-adhesive vinyls, working with customers to help them identify the most suitable solutions for their applications. A highly experienced professional, Mr Newbery has been working in the print industry since the late 1980s. He started

out as a screen printer before working across a wide range of roles within various printing companies. In more recent years, he has moved into the supply sector.
