Synaps is a white opaque polyester-based synthetic paper that prints like standard paper.
Agfa has established a process in which SynapS pre- and post-consumer trimmings are collected and reused in the production of new Synaps material. With this closed loop recycling process, all Synaps material that is produced constitutes at least 15 % rPET (recycled polyester).
When it comes to signage and posters, Synaps is ideal. Take city advertising for example, because of its rigidity and moisture resistance advertising in bus shelters will no longer start to curl under the infl uence of moisture when using Synaps. And for roll-up banners, Synaps’ whiteness safeguards the reproduction of brand colours and because it is regular in width and length, Synaps ensures perfectly straight rolling up.

Coala MagForce is a new magnetic PVC fi lm that delivers stronger power while reducing weight. It is a printable magnetic PVC in matt white, consisting of a laminated PVC face fi lm on a brown magnetic base and is available in two different thicknesses: 350 mic for interior magnetic signage and 600mic for interior or exterior vehicle graphics.
Coala MagForce is thinner and lighter but has a stronger force than equivalent gauges of traditional magnetic fi lms. It has roll fl atness and more fl exibility, giving a smoother printer feed and is easier to cut and mount onto slightly curved surfaces. Coala MagForce is both VOC-free (a+) and formaldehyde-free. It is compatible with (eco) solvent, UV, and latex technologies. Exten Prime-Ex PP Recycled Banner is Antalis’ new range of recycled, PVC-free banner material for POS, signage, promotional and display applications. It is one of the most environmentally friendly banner materials available. It is manufactured in Europe with post-industrial waste and is recyclable in polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) waste streams.
The range comprises of 500mic/ 490gsm banner materials with two options:
Exten Prime-Ex PP Recycled Banner
• Exten Prime-Ex PP Recycled Banner Double-Sided: coated on both sides for excellent UV ink adhesion and with 99% opacity for double-sided printing.
• Exten Prime-Ex PP Recycled Banner Frontlit Greyback: This banner features a matt white primed surface and a grey opaque backing. It contains a minimum of 95% recycled plastic.
Available in 1100mm and 1150mm widths, and roll lengths from 50m upwards, the banners have a primed coating, making them suitable for UV print. European manufacture ensures they maintain a low carbon footprint, and they have an Antalis Green Star System rating of four stars.
