● French interior and exterior signage specialist Global signa France, has added the Jetrix LXi7 fl atbed to its printer range. Production manager, Leo Humbert commented that they love the 3D printing abilities of the printer and its competitive price. ● Birmingham-based wide format and signage specialist Hollywood Monster took delivery of a new Meevo MX Event with Silicone Edge Automated Stitching (SEAS) in January 2024. The purchase from Soyang Hardware has signifi cantly enhanced its fi nishing capabilities and helped speed up production. ● Bordbusters has recently invested in two additional HP Latex 800 printers, bringing its total to four. The Dutch signage business says running four printers has helped it respond to a rise in demand for a diversifi ed range of services and deliver more high-quality printed applications to customers. ● In December 2023, Exeter-based POS printer CP Arts installed the new Afga Jeti Tauro 3300 UHS print machine at its facility. This will be the third Agfa machine purchased by the business and the best yet according to director John Skudder. The UHS model offers six colours plus white and primer and has eight rows of print heads and eight CMYK colour bars. It also includes varnish as a feature. ● Durst Group has successfully installed two P5 500 wide format printing systems at Procedes Group’s locations in Lemwerder and Cologne, Germany. The investment enables Procedes Group to vary its trade fair projects and wide format applications across locations according to workload and delivery date, while ensuring consistent workfl ow through the comprehensive use of Durst software. ● Kent-based print and stationary supplier, Singlewell Stationary, has invested in Canon’s imagePRESS V1000 to replace its older digital printers. The imagePRESS V1000’s technology platform harnesses innovation and automation so that Singlewell Stationary can produce a wide range of applications at speed, without compromising on quality.

The 1.6m wide, dedicated roll-to-roll, printer has transformed the business’ production capability allowing it to offer unparalleled speed and quality for high volume levels of printing. Justas Gadliauskas, founder and managing director at GMD Print & Install, said: “It’s an integral piece of production equipment for us. It’s saved


us, allowing us to keep up with demand and runs three to four times faster than the combined speed of both our existing UV printers.


“We needed a production upgrade with more speed, greater quality, and the ability to produce different types of prints. The Colorado M5W offers matte and gloss at the touch of a button, and also matte and gloss on the same print. It is so versatile, and the colours are very vibrant.”

The M5W is the top spec printer within Canon’s new M Series that runs at up to 159sq m/hr and includes white ink. Mr Gadliauskas added: “The Colorado M5W has allowed us to move forward. At the moment we are considering a second M5W printer which will signifi cantly upgrade our capacity. We really love this printer and are very impressed with its performance and the way it works.” The Canon Colorado M5W was purchased from CMYUK.


GMP Print Solutions bolsters eff iciency and flexibility with ColorJet Verve Mini

dinburgh-based GMP Print Solutions has purchased the ColorJet Verve Mini, after a live demonstration by QPS, and has already seen a marked improvement in production.


GMP Print Solutions has praised the impact its new ColorJet Verve Mini LED UV curing fl atbed printer has had on business, revealing the machine has signifi cantly improved effi ciency and overall fl exibility.


Andy Stuart, joint managing director at GMP, said: “This investment was the correct piece of machinery at the correct time in our business’s development and aligned with customer need.” The GMP team visited QPS for a live demonstration of the machine before opting to invest in the printer. Mr Stuart added: “QPS have been a supplier to GMP over many years, and they introduced us to the ColorJet
