n April 17, Zünd UK opened its new 40,000sq ft UK headquarters at Acuta House, Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire.
The opening ceremony was very well attended by valued customers, partners, and local dignitaries who were given an exclusive tour of the new site. One of the highlights of the event was the unveiling of the new Q-Line with BHS180, the fi rst of its kind in the UK. n April, Xaar launched its fi rst Sustainability Report, highlighting the transformative progress made
towards the objectives set out in the company’s Sustainability Roadmap to 2030. The report details each pillar of Xaar’s
Sustainability Roadmap, including: Environment, People, Innovation and Community. Achievements shown within the
report for 2023 include: • 2,536 tonnes of carbon removed from Xaar’s Scope 1 & 2 carbon emissions (since 2019). • 100% of UK energy usage is from renewable resources. • A total of £71,544 raised for UK charity partner Break, consisting of £35,772 from employees’ fundraising and an equal contribution from the company. • 5,596 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) hours delivered, demonstrating employees’ investment in their career development. • And 45 jars of honey harvested as part of Xaar’s Plan Bee project.

Miss Juno Charlton announced as first winner of Innotech’s Pets in Print trophy

iss Juno Charlton, chief welfare offi cer at Type Creative, has been announced as the winner
of the fi rst Innotech Pets in Print Trophy. Kieran Dallow, head of marketing at Innotech, and Liam Charlton, director at Type Creative, were delighted to present the trophy to Juno and her owner, Lauren Charlton, offi ce manager. Juno was excited to receive her trophy, doggie doughnuts, and certifi cate before returning to her working position in Type Creative’s reception area.
Mr Charlton said: “We are very proud of Juno for winning this award. She brings real joy to the offi ce and is always prepared to offer a helping paw.”
Runners up included Digby from Harlequin Clothing and Izzy from 4site Implementation.
he Sussex Sign Company has announced that Tristan Miller has successfully completed his apprenticeship as a Level 3 Signage Technician, achieving a Distinction. Mr Miller joined the company as an apprentice in 2021.
Throughout the apprenticeship, Mr Miller demonstrated dedication, skill, and a passion for learning, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and mentors alike.
Norman Mayhew, managing director at Sussex Signs, said: “I am absolutely delighted that Tristan has achieved a distinction grade in his NVQ Level 3. The sky is the limit for him, and I cannot wait to see the incredible signage solutions he will create and his impact in this dynamic fi eld. Tristan’s future is extraordinarily bright.” With the successful completion of this apprenticeship, Mr Miller will now transition into a full-time role as a fully qualifi ed sign maker in the print and production department, where he will apply his expertise and contribute to client work.
