Mountain Print brings textile production in-house with new purchase
P
ortsmouth-based Mountain Print has invested in a Mimaki UVJ55-320 UV LED printer from CMYUK to signifi cantly reduce the outsourcing of soft signage and mesh work.
The Mimaki UJV55-320 roll fed UV LED printer handles a wide range of indoor and outdoor applications including banners, retail displays, exhibition and event graphics, window graphics and more. It boasts a resolution of up to 1200dpi and is available as four-colour CMYK or seven-colour CMYKLcLmW. It also offers a high density print mode for front/backlit applications, plus an inline LED lightbox for backlit print inspection. Darrell Mountain, director, Mountain
Print, said: “This investment will allow us to lower our lead times and ensure the quality for our high-end clients is where it needs to be. It offers a greater ease of working and allows us to confi dently say yes to a job, without having to go and get costs for anything that may change during production.”
Mr Mountain attended a CMYUK open day event where he witnessed the impressive capabilities of the Mimaki UJV55-320 in action.
As well as turbo charging productivity, the Mimaki has enabled Mountain Print to begin producing lightboxes in-house, expanding its service roster. Mountain Print has also acquired a silicon edged conveyor sewing machine, allowing all fi nishing processes to be completed in-house.
