Fedrigoni has acquired majority stake in Germany-based POLI-TAPE

he Fedrigoni Group has entered into an agreement to acquire a majority stake in POLI-TAPE Group.
Marco Nespolo, CEO of the Fedrigoni Group, said: “The acquisition of POLI-TAPE allows us to expand and diversify our portfolio of self-adhesive materials for visual communication. “With this deal we are increasing our presence in attractive segments, such as textile and specialty graphics categories, as well as expanding our manufacturing capabilities.

MYUK customers are increasingly turning to Prep-it, a software solution, for the prep, layout, and automated production of print-for-cut jobs. It heralds a new era in pre-press effi ciency and material savings. Prep-it’s free-angle true shape nesting technology optimises specifi ed surface dimensions by placing jobs as a group in a space effi cient manner. The automation arranges single or multiple jobs into compact nests that minimise material waste.
Compared to manual methods, Prep-it cuts down on setup time by 90% and reduces material consumption by an average of 33%.

This acquisition brings the number of M&As completed by Fedrigoni in the past four years to 16, including four in 2024.
Headquartered in Germany, POLI-TAPE is recognised for the production of materials for graphic applications, including signage.

n May, Nova Chrome installed its fi rst UV fl atbed printer, the Mutoh XpertJet 661UF, at its Anglesey warehouse and showroom.

Ryan Connolly, business development manager at Nova Chrome UK, said: “We have always been impressed with the quality of Mutoh printers and when we saw the new UV fl atbed machine, we immediately saw the potential.” Lawrence Hebron, Mutoh product manager for Graphtec GB, said: “We are delighted to appoint Nova Chrome as a UK reseller for the Mutoh UV products.” Mr Conolly added: “We felt it was very important that we purchased a machine for our own premises. It’s a great product and we want to show our customers the printer in action and allow them to give it a thorough examination before they invest.”
n April, LeadEdge Flexo celebrated both its 15th year in business and its most successful growth period since its inception, recording 40% business growth over the past three years. Marking LeadEdge’s 15th anniversary, the company was visited by local Member of Parliament for Warrington North, Charlotte Nichols.
