Giacom’s newly appointed Commercial Director, Rhiannon Beeson discusses her career journey and how she plans on moving Giacom forward.


Giacom’s newly appointed Commercial Director, Rhiannon Beeson had this to say.


So what’s your background and professional experiences within the channel? I have over a decade of experience working in the Telecoms and Critical Communications soſtware industries. Prior to joining Giacom I held an Executive Director position at APD Communications. In my role as Commercial Director, I had overall responsibility for the sales, pre-sales, support and marketing functions with the objective of driving growth in the business. Achieving this with an impressive 223% growth in the 3 years I held the position. Tis success ultimately saw APD Communications being acquired by the global soſtware company NEC Soſtware Solutions. My time at APD was a fantastic opportunity to build a


business, strengthen its company culture and positioning a brand in a highly competitive space. I’m now looking forward to using my skills and experience to support both Giacom and DWS, by leading their marketing teams.

How has your move to Giacom been? I joined Giacom in September 2021 and soon aſter this we were selected as one of Sophos’s 3 UK distribution partners. So, from the get-go it was straight into the fast lane, a working environment I love, to prepare and manage my team through a strategic product launch, which I’m pleased to say was very successful. Fast growth can come with its challenges, but my team is one of the best I have worked with, and I couldn’t have hoped for a better start. So, in short – fun, fast paced and full of celebrations. In fact, last year Giacom was nominated for an impressive 16 awards across the UK tech industry, and it’s been great to get out and meet my old contacts, new vendors, and some of our key partners. I’m proud to join such a successful and recognised business and look forward to helping drive future success and growth in the years to come.


How do you plan to drive business and growth forward? I have a few tricks up my sleeve to ensure we are driving growth for the company and continually moving the business forward over the coming months. Firstly, as a customer focused company, I want to make sure we understand what
