After a couple of minutes of browsing, Deja approached me from behind the till and asked me if I wanted any help. There were two bean-to-cup machines on display; ProCook’s own Barista and Barista Elite were priced at £399 and £599 respectively. Deja explained that the Elite model features a full colour display, while the cheaper model has a black and white display screen. She added that another benefit of the Elite model is that it’s automatic, while the Barista model is more manual. I asked Deja where I could buy coffee beans from me, and she was unsure, which I found slightly frustrating. The price ticket stated that both models featured conical burr grinders with 30 grind settings and both come with two-year guarantees.
del is more manual.

If you are selling a coffee machine, you should have some kind of idea where beans can be purchased; the store was well presented.
Home of Appliances, Barlow Moor Road
This store is located on a busy junction about a one-minute walk from Barlow Moor Metrolink. I wanted to buy a new oven, and inside the
store I started to browse the appliances on display, while Rona helped another customer with their enquiry. After a couple of minutes, she finished up and came over.
I explained what I was looking for and she showed me two suitable products. The first model was from Hisense (BI64211PB), priced at £250; the second model was from Samsung (NV7B41207AB), priced at £399. Sadly, Rona didn’t seem to know anything about the products other than the prices. After she had left me to continue browsing, I opened each of the appliances and started to read the instruction manuals that were in each machine – I learned that both appliances featured pyrolytic cleaning, which is a definite benefit for consumers.
Currys, White City Retail Park, Chester Road
This store is located on a retail park in the shadow of Old Trafford, the home of Manchester United.
I was looking to buy my first
big screen TV. Inside the store I walked up and down the aisles and counted 118 TVs on display, while I waited to be served. I settled in front of two 65-inch TVs that seemed to suit my needs. The first was a Samsung model (QE65S90DATXXU), priced at £1,599. The on-screen information stated that the TV achieves naturally bright colour with Quantum Dot technology, while Adaptive Sound+ automatically adjusts to your surroundings. The second TV I looked at was from LG (OLED65B46LA), priced at £1,419. The on- screen information stated that the TV had an Intelligent a8 AI processor with AI Super Upscaling, while the LG 4K SELF-LIT OLED is perfect for contrast and colour accuracy. With no sign of an approach, I headed to the exit, where I noticed four members of staff having a chat.

With 118 TVs on display, customers need to be helped, not ignored. The TVs were well presented.
John Lewis & Partners, Trafford Centre, Stretford
The Trafford Centre is the UK’s third largest indoor shopping centre; this John Lewis store opened in May 2005. I was looking to buy a new washing machine; I located the appliance department on the first floor of the store. With no sign of any staff, I decided to browse the 25 washing machines, which ranged in price from £369 for an 8kg Samsung model (WW80CGC04DAB), to £1,299 for a 9kg Miele model (WEG365). According to the price ticket, the Samsung model offered a maximum spin speed of 1,400rpm, a quick wash programme, a noise level of 72dB, and a two-year guarantee. In comparison, the Miele model offered a maximum spin speed of 1,400rpm, a quick

Pyrolytic cleaning is a great feature and needs to be talked about in-store. Sadly the store was untidy and poorly merchandised.
