Whether in store or online, they’ll be able to quickly see which products are the most eco-friendly, with the most energy efficient uses and features. “We know that over three quarters of our customers want brands to help them be more environmentally-friendly,” Michael White, Channels Manager at Electrolux Group, tells ERT. “Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do, from our operations and manufacturing process to our innovative product design. “The majority of our customers (93 per cent)

are making an effort to reduce the amount of energy they use, therefore as a business we are constantly developing new technologies and products that allow them to do this.” Included in the EcoLine range is the 9000 Series AbsoluteCare 8kg Washing Machine, which Mr White says is rated 30 per cent more energy efficient than standard A-rated washing machines on the market. And, the AEG 9000 Series AbsoluteCare Plus 9kg Heat Pump Tumble Dryer has an energy rating of A++++ and features heat pump technology, said to save consumers up to 68 per cent more energy compared to a traditional tumble dryer. For the Better 2030 Last year Electrolux was named the Financial Times’ leading appliance brand for sustainability in Europe, while TIME recognised it as one of the world’s most sustainable brands. And achieving these accolades is no mean feat. Internally, the company’s sustainable practices

don’t stop at an operational level. Throughout its supply chain it has partnered with shipping, logistics and transport companies that help the business reduce the environmental impact of transporting goods on an international scale. And in early 2024, Electrolux Group had its second science-based climate target approved by the Science-Based Targets initiative, after achieving its first target three years ahead of time. One of the company’s new targets is to reduce its direct and indirect carbon emissions resulting from its operations (scope 1 and 2) by 85 per cent by 2030. Mr White concludes: “We are deeply committed to sustainable practices across all aspects of our operations. Although there’s a long road ahead, we are positive that we will fulfil our sustainability framework – For the Better 2030.”
