creating products that consumers can use for years to come. “That’s why it’s
vital for
retailers to
understand the benefits of investing in premium appliances. We advocate for a ‘buy once, buy well’ mentality, which is why all our appliances are built to last and why we introduced our new 10-year guarantee on select models.” Another popular design element is Liebherr’s

fun to the home, Ariete’s Party Time range is reminiscent of a vintage funfair with its bright red and white colour scheme. This range – which includes a waffle maker, popcorn maker, candy floss maker, and chocolate fountain – will be great for parties and gatherings, adding a sense of fun to nights in at home. Celebrating its 80th anniversary this year,
Denmark-born Bodum boasts a growing range of tea and coffee appliances plus toasters and kettles all carrying ‘the Bodum look’ – which is contemporary styling and rounded edges with a focus on black, white and chrome with a splash of Bodum red. The brand recently collaborated with the Museum of Modern Art where it departed from its usual colour palette, as Gareth Till, Bodum Country Manager UK, explains… “It’s an exclusive collection of product, including SDA like kettles, toasters and food
prep, but including bright blues, greens, yellows and lilacs. “We also have a range of new product on show at the forthcoming Exclusively Show in June – our first UK show for a while,” reveals Mr Till. “New developments will include more SDA, collaborations and on-trend colours.”
Back to black
Continuing the theme of dark colour schemes in modern kitchens, Liebherr recently added to its portfolio of stainless-steel finishes with its new BlackSteel interior. Featuring a unique vertical brushed texture, this is now available for the back and inner door of the appliance. “Good design is integral to creating products
that are long lasting and hardwearing,” Tim Hutchinson, Divisional Manager at Liebherr UK, tells ERT. “We believe that simple, elegant design that prioritises sustainability and innovation over trending styles are key to
AutoDoor feature, which enables users to open and close their appliance using a simple voice command, a knock or by using the Liebherr SmartDevice app. Mr Hutchinson says it’s an important feature for those looking to make their kitchens as functional as possible. On the subject of refrigeration, at the end of last year CDA added two new models – affectionately named Florence and Betty, they showcase a retro 50’s design and come in a selection of colours including a gentle Meadow Green, unique bluey-violet Sea Holly, soft neutral Barley Cream, and pretty Tea Rose Pink. Giving the appliances unique personalities with their human names, Florence has a 330 litre capacity with a salad crisper drawer, a handy wine rack and removeable shelving. Betty is a smaller retro classic, at 206 litres with a top-mounted freezer, refrigerator wine rack and removeable balconies.
Who knew these adorable appliances could give a kitchen so much personality!
