DID YOU SEE AT GLEE?

Twelve months on from launching the UK’s first fridge-free nematode range,

WILDLIFE WORLD said this year’s Glee was its best yet, with a 60% increase in new enquiries. Buyers were said to be impressed with the new informative point of sale (POS) units. The Wildlife World team works closely with garden centres, retail buyers and merchandising teams to develop new fit-for-purpose POS display units, which increase awareness of its wildlife portfolio and helps garden centres and retailers to sell more products. Success has included capitalising on existing award-winning ranges, such as the Simon King brushwood robin nester, the popular solitary bee hive, broad range of hedgehog houses, snack bowls and food and a number of new products, including The Pollinating Company bee nester, Shenstone Theatre Bird Bath & Drinker, and the Hedgehog Crossing and flat-pack hedgehog home. n 01666 505333 n info@wildlifeworld.co.uk

BURGON & BALL launched a wide range of smart new ideas in gardening and giftware at this year’s Glee and – and also joined with Corona Tools, to give an exciting and exclusive first look at the American brand’s range of garden tools, specially selected for the UK market and available exclusively through Burgon & Ball. In addition, the Sheffield- based manufacturer launched a new hoe design, which is designed to cut weeding time in half. The twin-edged blades slice into the ground at the perfect angle on both the push and pull strokes. Visitors were also able to see a new weeding tool, inspired by the hugely successful Weed Slice. The new design builds on the appeal of this sales phenomenon, but specialises in different areas around the garden and allotment, and can tackle weeding in a wide range of surface finishes, including aggregates. Meanwhile, three new RHS-endorsed tools made their debut: a stainless steel leaf rake with a lifetime guarantee, and two new hand cutting tools for snipping, clipping and trimming all around the garden. Extending the appeal of established best-selling ranges; Burgon & Ball showcased a selection of new indoor pots, including up-to-the-minute hanging pots. n 01202 684141 n sales@burgonandball.com

NEUDORFF returned to Glee 2018 with bold changes to some of its best-selling products. The company’s glyphosate-free, systemic weedkiller range, which includes Fast Acting Weedkiller and Fast Acting & Long Lasting Weedkiller products, has been renamed as WeedFree and the Pyrol Bug & Larvae Killer range will come under the BugFree name. The updates were made following the hugely successful launch of the company’s nematode range in 2017, which includes three varieties; VineWeevilFree, LeatherjacketFree and LawnGrubFree, receiving a new product award and later receiving two GIMA Awards, including the prestigious GIMA Sword of Excellence for VineWeevilFree. n 0121 767 1821 n www.neudorff-trade.co.uk
