Natural Cement boosts local sponsorships

Natural Cement, the Barnsley-based manufacturer of mortars, grouts and shotcretes, has ramped up its sponsorship of a number of local sporting teams.

At Barnsley FC, Natural Cement is now the sole sponsor of Barnsley’s Legends Suite, a VIP lounge area with a private area to watch the games. The deal is for the next three seasons. Jon Flatman, Barnsley FC CEO, said: “It’s great to see our relationship with Natural Cement strengthen and for their name to now be associated with the Legends Suite.”

The company is also getting involved with Barnsley Women’s FC (Junior) for the 2024/25 season, and will be sponsoring the U13 girls team, providing the kits for the entire team for the upcoming 24/25 season. Away from football, Natural Cement has also donated 30 Natural Cement branded water bottles to Athletic Boxing & Fitness Club, a local

boxing gym in Doncaster, with over 30 signed-on amateur boxers. The company had previously backed and sponsored Barnsley professional boxer Calum Simpson, so the link with boxing was already established.

James Mount, marketing coordinator

says: “For us at Natural Cement, local and grass-root sport is a huge part of our identity as a company. Nearly everybody in the office has participated in sport in some way, shape or form. We’ve got footballers, rugby players, bowlers, golfers and more. Sport is a fab way for people to keep active, meet new people, and give their life another aspect or purpose, so anything we can do as a company to promote this is a necessity. It’s part of who we are.”
