The company has 11 branches across the north west of England, with the largest in Huyton, which is also the head office and has a kitchen and bathroom showroom, a timber yard and a roofing centre. The other branches are located across Liverpool, Greater Manchester, Merseyside and Cheshire, with kitchen and bathroom showrooms in Liverpool and Chester, civils supplies in Chester, Swinton, Walkden and Widnes, brick cutting in Chester and milling in Widnes. Commerial director James Beesely has joined the firm and says: “This past year has been a year of action at Beesley & Fildes. We opened a new Distribution Centre and invested £1.2m in automated equipment at our timber milling facility in Widnes. Originally catering purely for the plumber and tradesman, and founded in Belfast in 1960 by William Beggs, the family-run company now has seven branches across the province in Ballymena, Belfast, Derry/Londonderry, Maghera, Newtownards Portadown and Lisburn. In addition, there are four branches on the GB mainland, in Basildon, Cambridge, Hockley and Grays. All 11 branches feature plumbing and heating as well as retail bathroom showrooms. There are now three family generations in the business.
