Builders’ merchant Jewson has launched a new specialist branch in Chichester, complete with a timber showroom, landscaping centre and a state-of-the-art facility. Jewson’s Chichester Timber Centre provides access to industry experts, tool hire and an unrivalled range of products and suppliers, giving builders and tradespeople everything they need to complete a timber or roofing project in one unique location.

NBG adds Manchester merchant
Independent builders merchant buying group National Buying Group has welcomed Manchester merchant Henshaws Roofing & Building Supplies, as a Partner. Founded in 1985, Henshaws has expanded its turnover three- fold since managing director Adrian Shelley bought the business four years ago, and the firm is now looking to capitalise on this and the opportunities that NBG Partnership brings. During this time, the business moved from its original Stretford location to a ‘superbranch’ at Trafford Park, opened new premises in Rochdale, and diversified from being solely a roofing merchant.
Shelley says: “The last few years have been brilliant for Henshaws, especially opening our branch at Trafford Park. However, this is a competitive industry so we can’t rest on our laurels – we needed to plan for the future, and that involved being in the right buying group.”
