eading a thriving multi-territory operation Rob Moore and Zoe March have created a high- performing business that demonstrates how franchising
can deliver both purpose and profitability.
What drew you to franchising and to Home Instead? We began our journey with Home Instead a decade ago, seeking a meaningful business model aligned with our values and we were inspired by the mission of delivering exceptional, relationship-led care to older people in our community. Since working together, we have developed a complementary partnership – with one of us focusing on finance and business development, and the other overseeing quality, compliance, and marketing. Today we operate five territories through
a centralised management structure that supports consistent, high-quality care across the region, and we now rank as one of the most successful franchise offices in terms of multi-unit revenue across the Home Instead network.
What satisfaction do you get from running your businesses? We try to be generous with our time and experience, which gives us a lot of job satisfaction. We actively participate in National Office events, share insights at franchise conferences, and support other owners via peer groups and
one-to-one conversations. Building a solid team around us while remaining close to the ethos of the business has been so rewarding. As parents, we are now in a place where we can enjoy a healthier work-life balance. We currently work four days in the office, one from home and our long-term goal is to reduce to a four-day week once all of our territories are stabilised.
“knowing that we are delivering exceptional care is the biggest win of all”
What gives us the most satisfaction is
knowing we are delivering exceptional, relationship-led care to older people in our community. This is the biggest win of all. We also take great pride in the role our
offices play within the local community. Across our territories we run friendship lunches, seasonal events, technology cafés and sporting groups, while supporting dementia information days and awareness sessions. Through initiatives such as the Doncaster Dementia Collaborative, chaired by a member of our team, we’ve helped connect isolated older people with valuable support and services.
What are your plans for the future? Future plans focus on consolidating and strengthening our current network of offices following rapid growth over the past three years, while continuing to invest in leadership and broaden our service offering. We remain open to future acquisitions where they align with our strategy, but expansion will be approached thoughtfully— balancing ambition with a commitment to family life and the wellbeing of our team.
