n 2017, having over 20 years’ experience in the franchise industry, Dan Archer introduced US care franchise Visiting
Angels to the UK. In order to elevate standards of care and transform the experiences of those receiving it, Visiting Angels core aim, fi rst and foremost, is to place the carer at the heart of what it does. Dan says: “Our business operates in the social care sector, a market where there is huge demand. Although there are a number of potential competitors, we are a private pay-only provider, so we are not competing at the congested end of the market.”
More demand than ever Visiting Angels UK was three years into building steady success with its Sheffi eld- based pilot franchise when Covid-19 struck. For a care brand, it's particularly pertinent. In a recent Spotlight webinar with Business Franchise, Dan Archer
confi rmed that while it’s been a challenging few months for everyone, Visiting Angels has experienced more demand than ever. Reassuringly, it's down to being part of a network, and having international presence, that has enabled Visiting Angels to anticipate action and support franchisees in a way that start ups would be unlikely to achieve.
