ow a year on since they launched their ActionCOACH franchise in Oakham, Rutland, Rupert and

Angela Turton’s work environment has blossomed. Even when the COVID-19 pandemic

sent the world increasingly into panic mode, the pair focused on supporting their clients to survive the lockdown – which has only made their own business even stronger.

Finding action “Angela had been to a networking event and met with a local Action Coach,” said Rupert. “We both looked into the franchise and instantly fell in love with their ethos and culture. We knew it made sense for us to make the investment together. We both possess different skillsets and, therefore, different strengths, so it works. "We’ve been married for 33 years and

we’re both fully aware of what areas of business we’re comfortable with – we complement each other nicely.” “I tend to focus on marketing, advertising, fi nance and general

admin tasks,” said Angela. “I also go to various networking events to meet with different people – we support clients at all different stages of their business, so it’s a way of us raising awareness for what we do.” “Myself, on the other hand, I tend

to lead with sales and recruitment,” continued Rupert. “Before going into business as a couple, we had time to discuss the possibility of being business partners and to work through any challenges we considered may crop up. We voiced our concerns and made the mutual decision that it was the right time.”
