Working with family
of picking orders for customers. The thought that I was preparing meals for our customers that rely on our food appealed to me. I realised very quickly that for me to succeed in life I would have to get my hands dirty and be ready for any challenges that come my way. It was inspiring to see the hard graft and long hours both my parents had put into making their business a success. This work ethos and learning the principles of running a commercially successful business were strongly instilled in me from a young age.

Farm Foods Growing up in the firm
Wiltshire S
hiv Amlani talks about the life- changing experience of working with his parents, Pritesh and Kalpana, franchise partners
with Wiltshire Farm Foods, and how it inspired him to purchase his own franchise within the network.
What was your background prior to going into business with your parents? Prior to this I completed a degree in economics and finance, but I’ve also had experience in a few other companies to understand how they operate and quickly realised that the core foundations
in any business are the same and this realisation came predominantly from a Wiltshire Farm Foods franchise.
What has the experience been like working with your parents? I could write a book about my journey so far working with my parents! From the age of 15 I have been involved with the family business, Wiltshire Farm Foods, and I’ve undertaken tremendous opportunities and experiences. I still remember my first day. I naively thought I would be sitting in a nice warm office observing my parents doing all the hard work but my father gave me a uniform, put me to work in the cold-store and the rest is history. For the first few weeks I was stationed in the cold-store performing the role
How did the experience of working with your parents inspire you to take on the challenge of running your own franchise? From a young age I would always tell my parents that I wanted to be an entrepreneur and that I would love to be able to run my own business. After seeing and helping my parents run their business for many years and the joy that it has brought to our customer base and our family, I was inspired to learn even more about Wiltshire Farm Foods and the company’s plans for the future. Attending the Wiltshire Farm
Foods conference with my parents cemented the desire to own a franchise for myself. I was truly inspired by the core principles of the franchise. The fact that Wiltshire Farm Foods is a market-leading service-based company that serves the elderly and has great growth potential was a big factor in my wanting to have my own franchise within a network of highly experienced entrepreneurial individuals.
