Franchise Focus Golden opportunity

Right at Home goes from strength to strength as it signs 50th franchisee

INVESTMENT LEVEL: FROM £31,995 P

remium homecare provider Right at Home recently signed its 50th franchisee into the network. Former IT manager Kevin Lancaster took the decision to

change career after realising he needed a new challenge and wanted to run a business that could deliver meaning and value as well as profi tability.

Kevin, who will take on the Reading and

Wokingham territory, recently completed the New Owner Training programme along with David Meanwell (Stockport), James Foley (Swansea), and Keith and Kirsty Sheena (Hatfi eld and St Albans). The Right at Home group, owned by former British Franchise Association Franchisee of the Year Ken Deary, has maintained a measured growth strategy since it launched in the UK in 2010; all its prospective franchisees are put through a challenging recruitment process to ensure

they are well-suited to the demands of the business. Group director Tim Jones says: “Care can be hugely rewarding but it is not an easy sector to work in and our brand is not an easy one to join. “It takes real commitment and mental

strength to establish any new business, and when you are joining a brand that has been built around quality, as a franchisor we need to be confi dent that you’ve got what it takes to be the best. “We work extremely hard at head

offi ce to deliver industry-leading support that fast-tracks our business owners to breakeven point. After working with Kevin, Keith and Kirsty, James and David in training, I know they will go out and hit the ground running.” Kevin says: “After our fi rst week’s training I am feeling energised and look forward to the challenge of expanding the Right at

Home brand into Reading and Wokingham. My experience so far of working with the Right at Home UK team and existing owners gives me great confi dence that I’m joining a fabulous franchise.”
