After graduating from university, Fatih worked as an accounting supervisor. He opened his fi rst Simit Sarayı branch in Stockholm, Sweden


Why did you decide to become a Simit Sarayı franchisee?


I wanted to become a franchisee of a brand that was known for its quality products and had a strong growth rate.


Why did you choose Simit Sarayı over other franchises?


Simit Sarayı is one of the leading franchises in our country. It has expanded successfully in Turkey, the Middle East and Europe, and I wanted to be part of this success. As a result of my continuous eff orts, my stores have been very successful.


Has the business been successful so far?


The success of my fi rst branch in Stockholm’s Mall of Scandinavia went beyond my expectations, while the product choice and quality drew great


interest in the city. Because of this, I quickly opened my second Simit Sarayı branch in Skärholmen.


What kind of training and support have you seen?


Prior to opening, I underwent a training programme. With the support of Simit Sarayı’s operations team, and its eff ective training programme, I receive ongoing support. For example, when a new or improved product line is introduced, I am immediately informed and advised on how to integrate it into my stores.


How did you manage to raise the funds for your fi rst Simit Sarayı franchise business? We were fortunate enough to have our own funds available.


How hands on are you in the day-to- day operations? I go into the stores each day, ensuring all products are at top quality and the staff are performing to a high standard.


Have you encountered any problems with your franchises? During the investment process we


encountered some problems, particularly with staff training. However, we succeeded in overcoming these problems with the support of Simit Sarayı.


Have there been any particular highlights since you started your Simit Sarayı journey? Seeing the success of our fi rst store exceeding our expectations, which has allowed us to open a second store.


What’s in store for the future of your franchise businesses? We aim to increase the number of branches by promoting the brand of Simit Sarayı in the Scandinavian region in the best way possible. Within the scope of the franchise agreement that we have, we aim to open many more franchises across the whole of the country.


Has franchising changed your life at all?


Of course – franchising has changed my life. Just knowing that a strong brand and company is standing by my side, having my back and providing continued support makes it easier to see an expanding future with the brand.
