In recent years, the city has also benefi ted from a number of signifi cant investments, including an Intu shopping centre, the Quad arts centre and the Derby Riverlights development, which has provided 15,000 square metres of new leisure, offi ce and retail space. A new £10million industrial estate is set to create over 500 jobs in the city and, according to the UK Powerhouse report, produced for Irwin Mitchell by the Centre for Economic and Business Research, the area is expected to grow by around 16 per cent in the next 10 years.
