Functional mounting for medical devices
Mounting systems are an important part of ensuring different medical technologies are available in an ergonomic and efficient manner, especially when time is of the essence for a patient. Technimount System has spent almost a decade providing medical device mounting equipment across a range of clinical settings. Founder and CEO Carl Bouchard explains how his company has evolved to meet the needs of the healthcare industry.
What were Technimount’s core ideals when the company started? Carl Bouchard: In 2013, Technimount System was created with the mission to provide the emergency medical services (EMS) industry with safer and more flexible mounting solutions for medical device management and transport. We realised that healthcare providers and first responders were missing essential tools that would allow them to work safely and effectively. This is without mentioning the concern for the safety of patients in transit.
Our strong engineering background and industry knowledge have led us to where we are today. Technimount’s high quality mounting system revolutionised the way healthcare providers and first responders can safely transport and manage their medical devices.
How has the company evolved since then and has it added new products and services along the way? Working with industry partners; original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), emergency medical services (EMS) and healthcare organisations, our product line evolved from solutions for first responders in emergency calls to more complex situations with comprehensive solutions for critical care transport adapted for ground and air ambulances, hospital and military environments. Over the years, we have developed a variety of mounting systems for many medical devices, from the most frequently used to some very specialised.
What are Technimount System Group and New Medical Division, and why they were created? Technimount System is a company that incorporates engineering, manufacturing and
commercialisation divisions dedicated to serving the healthcare industry. As a recognised leader in the development of mounting solutions for medical devices and to better serve specific market needs, Technimount System created Technimount Medical, a division dedicated to the hospital market. Technimount Medical is committed to serving the healthcare community worldwide with versatile mobility and mounting systems for medical equipment that improve the efficiency of patient care in hospital and clinical environments.
How is Technimount Medical responding to hospitals’ dynamic needs? Technimount Medical offers state-of-the- art solutions that help healthcare providers to accomplish higher efficiency during their practice.
