What does BMP Medical do? John Faulkner: Founded in 1978, BMP Medical (formerly Biomedical Polymers Inc) provides OEM contract manufacturing services for the medical device industry; producing highly precise plastic consumables used in device and diagnostic kits. We work with our customers from initial design to production, leveraging our state-of-the-art injection and injection blow moulding capabilities to produce an array of components and medical devices. We can offer design consultation, engineering, drawing, R&D, tooling, mould development, process automation and statistical process control for all products. Our facility is equipped with a Class 8 cleanroom and a white room for assembly and packaging.
Elaborate about the quality standards at BMP Medical. We’re a single-source provider that understands what it takes to meet all regulatory requirements for medical device engineering. We can provide DNase/RNase free manufacturing, sterilisation services, custom packaging and process validation services to support any complex product development cycle. We have experience working with both standard and unique materials, developing the latest plastic medical components for premier OEMs worldwide. We have the resources to work with materials including polypropylene, polyethylene, acrylic, polycarbonate and polystyrene. All of our products are designed to meet the most rigorous quality control standards possible; especially for Class I medical device approval and 510K filing specifications. We can service any complex project requirement worldwide. We’ve assisted a variety of markets focused on producing medical, diagnostic, laboratory, research, biomedical, clinical and pathology devices.

What is the investment BMP Medical has made recently? Our true value lies within our people. We have made investments in them by purchasing training software, Six-Sigma training, manufacturing automation training and offering a shadowing programme. This resulted in building a private, on-site training centre. We are in the process of developing partnerships with local colleges to collaborate on strategic opportunities in bringing innovations to life, as well as providing plastic manufacturing education for talented students that are enthusiastic and interested in learning more about the industry.
