outline the interior shape with a sharp #11 X-Acto blade, remove a V-shaped section along the edge using the same blade, and then begin gouging out material. (Figure 17) T e hull interiors then were fi nished by being smoothed with a Dremel ball-tip sanding tool. Aſt er painting, seats made from styrene strip and oars made from wood splinters were added. T ese boats were then slung from the davits using
simulated falls made from bits of nylon fl y-tying line connected with drops of gloss medium varnish. (Figures 18 and 19) I hung a folded paper fl ag from the aſt er mast and put a couple of Prieser Z-scale fi gures on deck as crewmen. (Figure 20)
