I next mounted the hull onto a 1/2-inch thick pine plinth using 1/8-inch brass rods set into the slots formed in the lower part of the keel piece. A paper deck was cut to fi t from fi le folder material and scribed with parallel lines spaced 1/32-inch apart with a hard (5H) pencil.
