WIN A LONG WEEKEND FOR SIX IN THE CHARENTE-MARITIME

Come and unwind at this beautiful old manoir in Boisredon, in the Charente-Maritime. This characterful property is

perfectly placed for touring this gorgeous part of France: it’s just 50 minutes from the stunning historic city of Bordeaux, one hour from the legendary wine village of Saint-Émilion, one hour from eau-de-vie capital Cognac, and 50 minutes from Médoc, right at the heart of Bordeaux wine country.

Set amidst beautiful countryside Le Manoir du Mûrier is a former 16th-century hunting lodge once owned by the Marquis des Adjots. Kick back, relax and unwind in this peaceful oasis. Situated amongst the vineyards in the Haute-Saintonge wine

region, the property is set in its own very private gardens and woodland of 15 acres, with a beautiful lake, a gorgeous south- facing enclosed courtyard and a large salt-water swimming pool, which is open from May to September, with a delightful terrace and sun loungers. Mûrier Cottage is tastefully decorated and furnished, with three bedrooms to accommodate six guests comfortably, and has its own private entrance through the walled courtyard.

This peaceful haven has an adorable one-bedroom, self- contained gîte called Petit Mûrier, which has a double bedroom, (room for a Z-bed for a child can be added), with an en-suite shower room, small kitchen/diner and a lounge area. There are French doors leading onto a small, covered terrace with a table and chairs for your own private dining, overlooking the garden. Under les mûriers (mulberry trees), there is a large table and chairs in the delightful walled courtyard for dining al fresco. Petit Mûrier has access to the swimming pool. We are offering lucky readers the chance to win a long

weekend from Friday to Sunday for up to six guests on a self- catering basis. You can redeem this offer between April and May 2024, and September and November 2024 (excluding bank holidays). Plus if you’d like to extend your stay here by between two to fi ve nights, you will receive a 10% discount.  manoirmurier.com
