Prepare the Passengers PAX Considerations

If possible, anyone physically compromised (height/weight, disability, pregnant) should be seated in an aft-facing seat. Lap children should be seated with guardian in an aft-facing seat.

Children’s carriers must be secured in forward-facing aircraft seats. Infant carriers may be aft facing (in a forward -facing aircraft seat). PAX should be re-seated off the divan if possible. Pets should be secured in lav or be in a pet harness secured to a seatbelt. Large or overweight individuals should be re-seated to be one of the last out of the aircraft. Large, overweight, or disabled PAX may be required to egress through alternative exits. Passengers (and crew) may become incapacitated... Evacuate ABPs first. Use the “Buddy System”. Enlist others to help those needing assistance. Direct PAX flow to all exits as appropriate, preventing exit blocking.
